2 Kings 17:14-16

¹⁴ However, they did not listen, but ^(A)stiffened their neck ^[a]like their fathers, who did not believe in the Lord their God. ^15 (B)They rejected His statutes and ^(C)His covenant which He made with their fathers, and His warnings which He ^[b]gave them. And ^(D)they followed ^[c]idols and ^(E)became empty, and followed the nations that surrounded them, about which the ^(F)Lord had commanded them not to do as they did. ¹⁶ And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God and made for themselves cast metal images: ^(G)two calves. And they ^(H)made an ^[d]Asherah, and ^(I)worshiped all the heavenly ^[e]lights, and ^(J)served Baal.
